That Civic is great for the weekend racer, which is what Honda is targeting. The 4 door only makes it more appealing to the rest of the weekend racers that need the extra 2 doors.
I wouldn't compare the TL to the Civic so harshly. They are in two complete different class of cars. The only thing they have in common is that they are both 4 doors. The fact that it Mugen have their hand in this is to enhance the appeal to the seasoned tuners like the guy that started this thread. A 300hp TL?... clearly he is more of a tuner than a luxury car owner. The civic would give him a lot more tuning pleasure than the TL.

you want to go from a TL to a civic??? Even though it's a mugen civic, it's still a civic none the less. When i bought my tC and got it tinted, my friend who owned the shop asked me why the hell would i down grade ( i didn't down grade, just got a tC for a small commuter and still have my TL to drive when ever i feel like driving it, bout three times a week)

You'll be paying $30K for the name (MUGEN) because a Civic sure as hell will never be worth that much money. If you bought a bone stock Civic, slapped MUGEN wing, rims and kit on it, would that make you feel much better that your driving a Civic over a TL? hmmm

but seriously, never compare TL-S with civic no matter how nice the civic is. i personally prefer the older model of civic, the new model is just yuckkkkkk...

I think I knew the answer in my heart all along. I would have an almost impossible time getting rid of my TL-S. I don't think the TL will be going anywhere.

I wouldn't have traded my 1st Gen TL for that thing, let alone a 2nd Gen that is as nice as yours making 300HP. $30k for a civic just seems blasphemous. You could buy a 3rd Gen TL, a G35, a "previously enjoyed" 3 series, or something. Thank you for asking before you bought. You have made a wise decision.

MUGEN Civic.....
HELL NO,, Sure it looks about 10X better than a Civic Si, BUT IT IS STILL A CIVIC!
Plus you are paying all that premium $$$$ for what 20 more horsepower, a body kit, and a swaybar? HELL NO
You are paying solely for exclusitiviy MAYBE if it had 300 horses it MIGHT be worth it

If you want to play around, get a used civic, drop a K-series in it, Tein suspension and go all out. And for half the cost you will kill the 07 Mugen Civic on every and any track. Keep the TL as the everyday car and get a civic/teg as a weekend toy.

If you do not know about this car its the first Mugen Honda Civic to be sold in the USA. The car is limited to only 500 and they all will be a special blue. The package includes genuine Mugen suspension, exhaust, spoilers, wheels, grille, badging and interior. The car has a sticker of $30,000 but I would pay a few grand less. The engine will still produce 200hp. The car is sure to be a collectors item but my TL-S is laid out and should be producing close to 300hp. True my car has 60,000 miles on it and this is new but I just cannot pull the trigger and sell my TL- but on the flip side this Mugen Civic is smoking hot.
What would you guys do ?

I think your car with 300HP is a dream, more like 240. I won't let you sell the TL, you've got too much into it. And the Mugen doesn't come in those second rate colors of white/scarlet!

I was waiting for you to butt in. You better hope I don't catch that 3rd gen of your wifes on the freeway. You are the only person I know that has to clear all your mods with your wife. With you being a Wolverine fan and her a Buckeye is the wise thing to do - she does have the brains in the family.
You should be pushing me to buy that Civic. Its the only way you have a chance to win that Michigan NOPI trophy. I decision is final. The TL is not going anywhere. I love that car and seeing you cry is icing on the cake.

I don't have to clear them thru her- she just buys them for me. With the new RJ wheels and a drop your little 30 HP TL is chicken feed. I don't see how a discontinued catback exhaust system and LED lights give 300 HP. I guess that puts mine at about 450 HP!
What's next- sheepskin seat covers? Those will help catch you tears/drool when the Queen of Darkness shows up. Why don't you give us a preview of that " hotrod" on April 7th here by me at our mini-meet? You can then go back home and plan more freebies to try and win a trophy!
Love ya bro!
