Touchup paint
I had my first scratch today
. I was too lazy (and it's been too cold) to handwash my car, so I went to my favorite carwash. They actually hire people who towel-dry the car for you. When I got home, I discovered a nasty 5-inch scratch on the hood--one of the kids must have accidentally scratched the hood with his watch (wasn't done on purpose--I was there the whole time).
I intend to protect my investment, so I ask: is there a special trick to putting on touchup paint? Anything to look out for? I'm planning on buying some from the dealer and don't want to FUp the factory finish.
Thanks in advance.

How deep is the scratch? you may want to use a scratch remover if it is not too deep (i.e. it just scraped the clearcoat) if it is too deep you want to take it back and have them file an incident report and if you can proof it that they did it, you can get their insurance to fix it
