torque wheel

DO you guys care if mechanics use torque stick or hand torque to tighten your wheels? I am so concern because I hate seeing people strip studs by using impact gun like machine gun. They don't care about customers car. They feel like they are the pit crew in F-1 or something. It's OK to use impact, but do it slowly, no one is rushing. I wish I worked at a tire store during weekend, so I can work on it myself.

I am a manager at Costco and we do both. First we use the gun and then it has to be hand torqued by a manager/supervisor. People strip studs so much because they have either the air pressure on the gun too high or the wrong torque set on the torque bar. If they are both set properly there should be no prob.

I know using impact can make the job fast, but some people just go crazy on it. Anyway, as long as I don't have air compressor at home, I will have to live with it.
