top speed cut off at 147mph

i got the new tranny a few days ago and on sunday night i was running with Jeff TSX's RSX type-S on hwy for fun, with nobody around i hit up to top speed in a short time

i orginally thought my car can go up to 240km/h, but then i got cut off 3 times at 237-238km/h, which is around 147-148mph, not up to 149mph

anyone tried that b4?

It's your speedometer needle. It's got a nasty hole in it. That's why you're unloading at 147. Tune the NAWZ timer and you'll run 9's at 250 mph.

the car is goverened at 155, but then something so slight as different tires could mess your needle up, stupid needle

155 is what the Germans use. Acura set it at 147-149 Roughly around there. At those speeds your speedo is not the most accurate anyways.

even if u have bigger rims...the ecu still recognizes how fast the car is going...its throught the info put out by the engine...not wheels...so even if u have bigger rims...ur "traveling" speed is slower...but ur engine is still working as hard...which means no difference...on 18s with 225/40...100mph = 93mph i think...theres a site that has that calculator...

148mph is too fast unless your at the track. in the northeast going 148mph mean dead or bent rim even on the highways here. screw that!

No, the ECU bases speed based on the speed of the axles times the programmed stock rolling diameter. Altering that diameter will affect you speedo. Generally it wouldn't be by much though, unless you have an extreme set-up.

might as well get used to high prices. we have been blessed with abnormally low prices for along time and the high prices are probably here to stay.

i havent changed my driving style 1 bit. I payed for VTEC so im going to USE VTEC
