Too much Burlwood?

Has any '99-01 owner tried all four burlwood upgrades? Tim's 26 piece kit, burlwood shifter, instrument cluster, AND the wood wheel? I just installed my TLS gauges over Christmas and love them. Does the instrument cluster "exactly match" the 26 piece kit? Does the wood wheel match? I'm building "Grandma's car" so suggestions on performance add-ons not required. She teaches 2nd grade, and thinks it's fast enough.

Also I noticed that no WDP paint option on the side body kits, just Taffeta white. Is WDP available from Tim? Right now I'm torn between the wood wheel, side kits, and a CD changer. What's next?

Go with the body kit dude... That'll make your car looks nice on the outside.... i dun think too much wood will look good. kinda makes the car looks like an old man is driving it..... btw how old are you?

Wood is nice. But don't get the stock gauge cluster wood if you get an aftermarket kit. The stock wood kits don't match the existing stock wood, nor the aftermarket kits - it is lighter. But the shifter knob, wood wheel, and 26 piece kit is nice. Some pieces in the large kit don't look good, like the pieces around the door handles (looks really tacky), and the pieces that go on the fake ashtrays (looks tacky and your ashtrays won't open with those pieces on!). Just use your best judgement and don't try to put on all the pieces.

I just got the burlwood shifter and I think that's enough... Too much wood in a car reminds me too much of my parents old station wagon... Ohhh the days of wood on the OUTSIDE of the car...

Wood or plastic wood? Huge difference. If plastic wood, less is more IMO. Hell with real wood less is more IMO.

Too much burlwood makes the car look it's for old people, Getting wood shifter looks good, but I'd like to try to see if there's any other styles out there other than the burlwood look.

No there is no wood shifter with just the s on it. But, since the RSX types S is out, i would expect some shifters to be out for it that may have an S on it and fit the TL. Also I just purchased a shift knob from momo. It is brushed aluminum with burl wood on the sides. It is very comfortable.

The tasteful application of fake burlwood that comes with the car is quite enough. If you want to use all the pieces, go ahead, it's your ride....
