TLS is Revving uncontrollably, Help
I have an '03 TL-S with about 12K miles. I'm in NY and it's very wet here in the last two days. Anyway, I came home from work tonight and started up my car. Everything was fine, I drove it a few blocks, then parked it and now when i had it in park, it revs from idle to about 2500 RPM and then back down continuisly. If I hit the brake, I hear a clicking noise. it's so wierd. Any ideas what can be causing it? I have a remote starter and alarm, but I don't think this is causing it. Donny
I used to have a similar problem in my 91 Integra. Everytime it was cold out, it would continuoualy rev from idle to about 2500. My friend who is a mechanic said it might be my throttle control sensor.
That clicking sound... if it only happens in Park, it's most likely the lock in your shiftgate... you know, the one that doesn't let you shift out of park until you press the brake.

I had that same problem it occured to me twice and after that my tranny went bye bye two weeks later, i think that it's an early symptom before or a warning for the tranny, i have a friend that had the same problem and tranny also gone. Afterwards.
I had the exact same problem a couple months after i got my car too. The dealer told me that my acceleration pedal might have been caught, but it definatley wasnt. I just turned off the engine and then turned it back on again and then it was fine.
