TLS card
#2
Got mine (two cards actually). They came approximately three weeks after I bought the car. It's just a credit card version of the temporary paper one the dealer gives you when you purchase the car. It's got your VIN, date of purchase and a five-digit number in the lower right corner (anyone know what that's for??). I don't think it's necessary to get TLC service. If you didn't get one, make sure you contact your dealer and make sure they have your correct mailing address.

Glad you mentioned it. My delivery was in mid-April and I'd been trying to obtain my cards about a month after that (the process is supposed to take 4 weeks or so). Basically, I had requested trip routing material (which is a 7-10 business day interval) to see what TLC provided, as opposed to AAA services.
Seventeen calls and two additional months later, I received the cards (the trip material never showed up). They had the wrong name on the delivery slip; fortunately the surname was correct.
The provider for Acura TLC is a company called Cross Country Automotive Services. I believe it took six or seven of those 17 calls to find out that bit of information! Their number is 1 800 833-5500 (another couple of calls to get that number out of the system).
Somehow, I could imagine being surronded by lions and tigers and bears (oh my!) and having the TLC folks informing me on my cellular phone that I wasn't in the system!
Until you receive your card, carry bread crumbs and popcorn to scatter from one known place to another, in case you have to backtrack.

The TLC (TOTAL LUXURY CARE) is free to the owners of all Acura cars for the inital warranty period. I still have my AAA membership because that will cover other cars you might drive.

My mom has a 99 TL, she never got hers....I have a 02 TL-S, didn't think i would get one neither, but my batter died after i bought the car for 2 weeks becuase i left the light on for 2 days...so i called Acura TLC thingie, and one week later, i got my cars. I think u can just call the 1-800 number and request ur cards...it isn't really anything much, just a card with ur VIN # and DOP (date of purchase

Correct me if I'm wrong... The TL-S could be different than my 2000 TL but I doubt it.

My concern wasn't about the cards. When I called TLC, they didn't have the VIN, my name, dealer, nothing! Lord knows where the triprouting and misc. info. are.
Ah well, at least I'm in the system now (allegedly).
