Post TL w/ real manual tranny

Just curious what the performance would be of our car with a real manual tranny in it (not the SS wannabe). I think it would shave up to .5 sec 0-60 time on a good run. That would put it at 6.2 0-60 (using Motor Trend's numbers). Throw some mods on and you're under 6 seconds. WOW, that would put us with some might fine company. If offered, how many of you would've bought the TL with a manual tranny? I would've for sure.

If someone tells me there's gonna be TL Type S 6 speed manual coming out, I'd be down at the dealer as fast as my TL would carry me with a fat f**king wad of cash. I miss the days of actually doing something with my other foot - automatics seem too easy - almost taking the sport out of driving.

Ahh I miss the days of cruising DT Seattle hills with a manual tranny. *sniffle*

A TL with a true manual tranny would be sweet. I'd get that in a second! and if it happens to be a type-s 6 speed manual, all the better.

6 Speed Tranny huh?? Only if...........
But what's the point on buildin' a high performance sports sedan with FWD?? Just doesn't make any sense.

I second to that... Just look at the Volvo S60 T5. The car is fast for sure, but is it really fun to drive? I think you will end up with lots of torque steering.

FWD Performance sedan has its place. No it would not be a "true" sports sedan, but many of us already consider our TL a performance sedan right? The FWD would still be alot more predictable on snow and on the roads, especially for many youngsters who have no experience with rear wheel drive and oversteer. And since it would not be outrageously expensive, we'd get quite a few of those drivers on the road with it. Marketing aside, I wish it would be RWD, but I must admit I like the predictibility of the FWD feel in such a large vehicle.
