Although I own both vehicles and each having it's advantages, I don't know, I seem to favor my TL more than the 540i. Is it cuz I have all these mods? I believe my TL is more fun to drive than my 540i. Don't get me wrong, love the Bimmer, but it doesn't give me the excitement as the TL does. Weird...

it's the sound. I've heard 328s modified with intake and exhaust and it sounds nowhere as good as the TL. I'm sure the m3 is going to be a different story tho.

Ac i'd certainly say its cause of your mods,put headers,exhaust dinan programming ,sways and springs on your 540 and then u'll know fun....

 

yeah... it's the mod. plus you're used to love your TL I think.

AC, could you go into detail on how you feel about the cars? bimmers are supposed to be the ULTIMATE machines. I asked what r we TL people missing when we don't have bimmers but never got a good answer. Should I not feel bad and left out for living next to a million bimmers?

my brother has the 540 6-speed......drive that.......love is the only word to describe it. that is what the tl really needs.....stick.

 

im 22 and worked at a bmw dealer, while n highschool, and off and on through college..so i have some history with burning out these cars on dealer exchanges...the 540i is a dream machine...and i would love to own one.....you have a six speed.......however nothing beats an acura with MODS....

 

I don't have a 6spd 540i and my TL is modded up the wazoo, I think I would feel differently if my 540i was 6spd.
