Bellevue Acura in Bellevue WA just got in a TL Type S this morning. Still has the protective shipping covering on it. Sticker is $33,710 w/nav including $480 shipping. Car is silver w/ebony interior & bowling ball trim. It was locked up tight so could not get in but could see the interior. Everything pretty much like all the photos we have seen inside and out. I think the front end looks great. The main shipment of 2002 TL cars is due on March 15th.

 

MSRP--- yeah! Looks right around the numbers we were all estimating. I was thinking around 33,500, but $200 is no biggie.

 

MSRP looks like $33,230. Adding a $480 destination charge gets us to $33,710. Not bad w/nav.

How did the leather on the seats look--is it gathered like the TL or tight like the CL Type S?

 

The seats were tight like the CL-S. Not at all like the regular TL seats. Only the part were your butt sits and lower back of the seat is perferated. The rest is tight. Headrest is different also.

 

Is Acura of Bellevue letting people come by to see and/or drive the car? Or are they trying to hide it until the 15th?

 

Salesmen told me car is sold to someone on waiting list. That is all I know about it. More cars are due on March 15th.

 

what do yall mean by bowling ball trim? kinda confused here

Look at a picture of the ebony interior and you'll see a trim that looks like a "Bowling Ball".
It was a comparative term coined right here on this very forum.
Don't be surprised to see it used in magazine articles written about it in the future.

 

I sat in the new TL-S today at the bellevue dealer today. It was very cool, except the front grill is too big. It is too prominent, but the front lip is aggressive. Looks good froma distance. I met Nate there but we neglected to grab a camera.
