That's the hook from the stock floor. I took it out of the stock piece, and connected it to my new floor so it can still hook into the trunk lid when you want to hold the floor up for the spare tire

Man, I'm spoiled now...my friend gave me a link with some dude's system, n64 install, alpine dvd player, and I was like, "uhh, it's ok." My friend thought I was joking. Then I showed him this page. Your work is just too good.

Talking

I wonder why you or the owner went with the vinyl or whatever that material is called instead of regular carpetting. Looks kinda weird b/c the outside is silver.

But great job! Too bad I didn't get the chance to see and hear it in person.

Carpeting over Vinyl? Oh hell no! Vinyl gives it a more professional look.

Thumbs up

Yet another immaculate install. Great job Ron.

One question: is the spare still there and easily accessible?

I'm jealous, but then again so is everyone else on this board. Very very nice. Forget the sound, just look at that pretty picture..

(The TL has so much trunk space, with that big system it still has more room than most cars. I love that about the TL..)
