What do you guys think, let say 5 years down the road and the demend of parts for repair are high, especially the ones with body kit, rear spoiler, chrom wheel, and gold kit.

Doubt it. The most stolen cars are always VERY common and lacking in distinguishing features. I remember in the mid-90's it was always like Olds Cutlasses, and now its Hondas. The most basic cars on the road. Now I'll admit the TL-S is more at risk than a Viper or Vette, but its still distinctive enough to where it will never be #1.

 

I doubt it too for the reasons he stated. The most commonly stolen cars are usually the most commonly sold cars in addition to having parts that can fit more than one model of car. I dont see the TL-S as fitting either of those two criteria and getting into even the top 10 stolen cars like the Accord or Civic

 

We will probably be #1 in stolen headlights!!!

 

I don't know about #1, but for sure on the top 10 list.

 

Actually, the last generation TL and CL were high on that list because they share so many parts with the Accord (which is definitely in the top ten).

 

i agree with iceman... i see TL being up there with the Accords... the parts are almost the same... plus we are up there with the head lights....

 

Aside from carjacking you, I was told (by an alarm installer no less), that the immobilizer system that comes in out cars is very effective. He did qualify it by saying that if they REALLY want your car, they'll get it (hell, they can always tow it). I was surprised as I fully expected him to dis the factory alarm and try to sell me a new one. The only suggestion he had (as many of you have), was a shock sensor and good insurance.
