if the white gauges are the same as in the CL-S and i bet they are, then they will NOT be an exact fit for the current TL. calibration will be slightly different, and also the lights and indicators are somewhat different.

I'm pretty sure the redline is different. If not I'm switching. I'm surely doing the needles (if I can get them let me).

The CL-S does have a different redline, I think it readlines at 6900.

I asked the dealer if I was able to buy the Type S gauges, they gave me some crap about buying most of the dash assembly. I don't know...I'm an idiot.

Is there a problem with not being able to install it cause of the redline? I dont really care about where the redline reads since our car is automatic anyways.

Oh god look what I started LOL.

The only difference, I believe, is redline and the TCS light is in a different place.

I know someone who pulled his gauges from his Jetta and took them to a professional printing place that makes signs, they created an overlay that layed over the black areas (the portion where the numbers and all other markings that have light shining through were cut out. It was kinda expensive, well 120 bucks for the whole thing, but it looked stock, I mean up close you couldn't even tell. I know someone who owns a sign company, so I may ask them when I see them in May at our friend's horseshoe tournament and game feed.

I dont' know why your friend would change the Jetta Gauges. They are nice. I love the blue display in VolksWagons. I would prefer that over anything else.

you can't go to acura for one, if you try to order white gauges from the CL-S or the new TL-S, they are requiring you swap out your old ones, and if you don't have either a cl-s or tl-s they won't sell it to you. sucks

I don't know about you guys but www.mmrusa.com web page is pretty phat with the custom gauges. Maybe you should check it out instead of goin' through all this trouble to just figure out if type-s gauges fit. I'm sure the site could make the same shit.

hey nate, i believe there are other differences as well... such as the brights, the TCS is of course totally different, the side air bag light, and extra gear 99's lack and just other minor stuff... i always look at warrens car, and it's totally different, cut out wise of course not, but just minor things...
besides they are only white during the day, at night they are regular...
