tl-s tail lights instruction

tl-s tail lights instruction

hi all,
i just got an '01 black tl and unfortunately it comes with the amber tail lights. anyway i just bought red and whites off of ebay and was wondering if there is any instructions on removing the tail light assembly.

You need to get under the trunk lining. Look in your manual on how to change a rear taillight bulb, it will have instruction on how to remove part of the trunk lining. Once you see the taillights, you need to remove 6-8 nuts (don't remember the exact number). Remove the wiring harness, and push the tails straight out. Then reverse the steps.

It's real simple dont sweat it just get some tools and DO NOT touch the BULBS. I use bounty to touch those. Its just ike 5 min.

Bulbs aren't high wattages bulbs, natural oil from your hands won't make it burst like the highbeams bulb. Only thing you have to watch out for is the brake light bulbs (7443), the parking light filaments are so filmsy that you probably break them if you don't remove it carefully.
