how come in the background, everything is still? also, why is the RPM gauge still at 55K, wouldnt the engine be topping out at the redline or somethin?

What size tire/wheel combo were you guys running? If you're on a small combo the speedo is off.
My 99 TL has stock rims and slightly oversize tires, but it still registers 3 or 4 mph faster than actual speed at about 70 MPH (according to those radar guns they set beside the road to remind you to slow down.)

My (100% stock) 99 TL was clocked at 154 on an airplane manufacturers runway here in CA, clocked using lasers all along the runway, top 154, accel was clocked at 6.3seconds, 0-60.

Did acura slip you a type s motor with a 6 speed auto when the car was built. 0-60 seems way too fast.

The background is still because is a Still picture. If I took the picture from either side instead of forward then you would see the speed effect if that is what you are asking. The picture you see here is a digital picture from the original paper picture which in that picture you could see a little speed effect.

The RPM's don't top out at the final gear....this is what controls you from blowing your engine since in the other gears it just shift to the next, not the same case for our final gear.

Trust me my foot was all the way to the floor on the pedal, it just doesn't go any further.

I doubt it Bigman but they noticed that the car seems faster than normal at the dealer, they blamed it on the previous owner breaking it in at high speeds and high revs.. car drinks a LOT more fuel than 'factory stated' as well... i often get 14mpg on city driving.

i timed myself from 0-60, and got a freakin slow 9 secs, haha, but then i started out extremely slow revving to around 4k before i redlined it, didn't even floor it, and running my heavy 18s. If i did it probably, i think i can probably get it down to 7.sth secs. The fastest i've gone is 100mph. too scared the stock tires will blow
