TL-P Exhaust

I was wondering what kind of exhaust this fourm perfers. I was looking into the Tanabe Hyper Mediallion and it doesn't show any pictures. Does anyone have Tanabe and have pix they can post? Hks and Greddy are too big for me and Comptech is a alternate but it looks too small. For some reason it looks like a stock exhaust painted chrome. If anyone has good pix of comptech or tanabe can you please post.

Has anyone ever replaced the stock exhaust here because it actually failed (rotted, etc)?

.. might I add that the Comptechs look stock. When I see those big exhausts on our cars, it makes it look a bit weird. :p

I never said it looked like shit..I just think it looks a bit weird. Your Magnaflows don't look as big as the HKS Dragggers and Apexi WS..

I have the Tanabe Super Hyper Medallions on my TL-S. They sound good, but a bit on the loud side. But you can go to my acurainspired album. It is the same sn on that site. I'm not sure how to post pics on this forum

You'll mostly hear your exhaust at lower rpms and the sound will eventually go away as you get into the higher rpms/speed.

The Apexi WS comes cat-back. You can hear the exhaust at low-mid RPMs, maybe just before 4000 RPM. Its a nice deep sound, not too loud but definately louder than the silent stock. Here are some pics to convince you that this is the right exhaust for your car. Also, it would look the best if you have the OEM body kit like I do.

Hope that helps in your decision... by the way, I paid $600 with installation included in LA.

I think Greddy makes a catback for our cars other than Comptech. And yes, the Comptech catback should fit your '00 TL.

Glad to know you went for the Apexi WS. Good choice, believe me. Personally I know many love going with the Comptech but its just too damn small, specially if you have a body kit. The Apexi simply fits perfectly.
