how does that differ from a regular TL? is there like a TL-P badge at the back?

The "regular" TL you speak of IS the premium.

Its just a term someome came up with for the regular 225HP TL after the 260HP Type S TL was made in 2002. When I got my 2000TL this term was not even around & its the same car.
