Unhappy TL drivers seat very uncomfortable

Does anyone have the same problem with their TL. The drivers seat sitting area has that large crease splitting the seat in half. The back half is soft and the front half is firm. Its very uncomfortable on your butt. You feel the crease when driving. Really bugs me. Who would put such a large crease on the middle of the seat.

Sorry to hear that....my seat is very comfortable and I never noticed the crease.

Welcome to the board - what year and color is your TL?

I don't know about other people's seat but mine does not have that crease. As a matter of fact, my seats are very comfortable. My TL has 46K on it and the seats are still comfortable.

BTW, welcome to the board.

The seats hurt my back for about a week and I thought I was going to really regret the car, but now the seats are great. I guess they have to break in?

Man don't go dissin' new members! He has a viable concern. Wasn't it just last week that you were a newbie? You feel that you have enough clout to talk smack?

Cool

My TL is a Silver 2001. Fantastic car so far.
Engine is so slick. The seat seems like it needs to be a little firmer. Seat warmer must make it softer than it needs to be.

Hey Jason, welcome to the site. My seat feels great! I think they are really comfy. The overall ergonomics could be better though if we could tilt the headrests though!

I understand about the seat. I feel like it doesn't accept me into the seat (after 15k). It cuz it doesn't hug like the cls seats. I like the seats and they are much better than many other seats out there (i tried em, bmw, definitely audi, benz, lexus). I feel that it is adequate and better than the norm. American seats are the best though.

Man... I feel you....... I can't find a confortable position to drive... I don't have enough space for my knees. The seat ain't that good. I agree. Maybe I got longer legs and short hands. That why..... but whatever, you got the car.. like it or not... You can get after-market seats for the TL thought... Damn... can you say RECARO!!!!!

It took me a while to find a comfortable position, I'm 6'2" and a little overweight. You just have to keep adjusting it, till you find a comfortable position.

Welcome to the site.

I'm 6'1" and I find my seat to be very comfortable. Keep playing with the adjustments, I'm sure you'll find it comfortable after a while.

It's been several days now since I've been driving mine, and I have to agree that the seats are fairly comfortable, except that I too wish I could tilt the headrest forward (like I did in my 88 Legend). In order to rest your head on the headrest now, I really have to lean back. Maybe I need to play with the seating adjustments more.
