Post TL with CL-S 17" Rims

To all those TL owners with CL-S 17" rims, I would like to know rather having the CL-S rims will poses any long term side effects? For instance, will it damage the ride suspension, quick brake wear outs, the ride itself, steering problems, etc. I really wanted the CL-S rims for my TL, but my dealer insisted for me not to get it since the offset is different. Thanks!

The offset is the same on the CL and TL wheels(55mm)I just put them on, and love them! Only side effect is the fact that the speedometer will be a little off due to my choice of tires (225/45's) Otherwise that's it.

Yep, 55 mm offset, BUT the rims are wider, so in fact the rim sits wider by 6.35mm each direction. Nonetheless, they work fine with the appropriately sized tires. My dealer took a look and approved of mine despite the odometer adjustment I will need to accomodate the differnce in circumference. Go for it. Good luck.

If you have 205/50/17 tires, your spedometer will not be offset as much. I have a new set of P7000SS for sale in this size if you're interested. You could just buy the CLS rims and put these tires on.
