Thumbs up TL #3 on JD Initial Quality Survey

Just thought you guys might be interested to know that the Acura TL is only behind the Lexus LS430 and ES300 in initial quality.

It doesn't look like they surveyed any of the acura-tl forum members though. Or perhaps, even with all the rattles and tranny problems, Acura TL still fares better than all the other cars. Makes me want to go get my '03 TL-S even sooner. Cheers.

Nope.

I can't believe the TL has stay on the top 5 since it came out. :wow:

Usually new(redesign) cars get less complaints like ES300 now, but always drop 2-3 places after a year or two.

well...overall TL is much better than others...

i believe the tranny problems occur becuase some of our members are driving reallie HARD all the time...or else it wouldn't be a big problem...

rattles...i believe most of the cars have the same problem or maybe even worse...i don't see any in mine so far thou...

definitely lexux LS and ES are top notch in build quality and interior mateiral...no doubt

I'm not surprised. You did say "initial" quality. Most of the tranny problems and rattles people complain about seem to occur later. Also, the members' opinions here are probably just a minority sampling of opinions.

I really do not believe that report. It has ACURA CL way down the list below alot of cars, 152 it said. It is the same exact car as the TL!

Yeap. VERY small sample of opinions. I never realized just how many TLs are on the road, they're freakin everywhere, like the dealers are giving them away or something. That's one thing I'll miss about the Prelude, not a lot out on the road.
