TL with 3.5RL block
my friend and i were talking about boring out the pistons in my 2000 TL. and we figured that the best way to do it, would be to replace the 3.2TL block with a 3.5RL, assuming it would bolt up properly, and bore those pistons out to something like 0.040". we havent really thought it through and please let me know if we're overlooking something.
i work for advance auto parts and we have a junkyard database that is pretty dam huge and we cant get a block for a 3.5RL. any suggestions on how i can get one?
oh and just out of curiosity, any idea on how big the engine would be with a 0.040" bore on 3.5RL pistons? we guessed something like 3.8-4.0 liter
