Hey guys, i have a '99 TL and want to tint the windows, i was wondering what the law is in both New Jersey and New York concerning how much tint you can have and if you can have the driver side tinted at all

also what u recommend looks best, i have the blue pearl color

illegal to have on the front two windows in NJ. dont know exactly about NY but city cops really dont give a crap since they have murderers and rapists to go after.

In NY its supposed to be ANYTHING on the rear...
front and rear door windows are sposed to be 30% (including tint in window from factory)

Realistically u can do rear window and rear door windows (or rear windows if a 2 door as dark as u want.. and can probly get awawy with 15-20% for front....

 

in NYC 35% up front is legal, whatever you want for the rear of the car. I got pulled over for 20% up front.

I have 20% black tints all around on my TL here in NJ. Haven't got pulled over yet (knock on wood).

NY you are only allowed to have factory tints on the rear doors and rear window. If it 'aint factory, you're gonna get a ticket..
