Tinted Headlights? Taillights?

I've decided to try 20% smoke tint on my tails for my 99 TL-P instead of buying 02-03 tails right away and I want to see how it looks. I just was wonder what you guys thought about getting the blue colored tint for the headlights. I saw a couple pics of it on a TSX and it looked pretty nice. What do you guys think? Note, I don't want to get new housings.

Why waste the money buying tint for the 99-01 tails if you're gonna buy the 02-03's later? Tint isnt a restickable thing, if you put it on and take it off, it becomes useless. Look through the photograph gallery, I've seen at least one TL with 99-01 tails with tint.

FYI, tint on headlights is gay. Lacviet had tint on his headlights and his car is bomb. He took the tint off, much cleaner now.

You don't have to buy new headights, you can black yours out if u want, or sivler them out like subtledreamer did. His are for sale, btw. If you don't want to block them out, or are worried about damaging them you can buy new ones (noted: you don't want to buy new housings).

Just a headsup, headlight tint is gay unless its on a really mean car.

Old pics

Newer but crappy quality

If you are gonna go with the 02-03 tails just save for those. You will spend $75 on Rockblocker and that's pretty much halfway there. Just keep saving and get the 02-03.

Get the 02-03 lights, and then tint the red part.. Headlights I would just open it clear it and paint the housing black.

yea, tints on headlights are ugly IMHO. taillight tint tho, you cant go wrong man! and you dont even need the rockblocker tho im positive its way better. ebay sells like film that you can put on and take off whenver, and they're up to 20% smoked. looks nasty on the NBPs like mine, with the tint only on the red part, the white part left way it is. but thats on the 02-03 tails, which you should def save up for. the ebay tint is only like 20 bucks

Ha ha, even I'm still kinda miss my headlight tint; however, I have to admit black out headlight look much better! Color match headlight with car color is also the bomb just like Subtledreamer's car. 02-03 lights and tint are the best, but either way still look good.

Here you go, this will give a better idea of what you might be looking for, and what we are suggesting/talking about.

Lol, maybe this is more appropriate since your car looks nothing like that above

http://rockblocker.com/Images/acura/Light/index.html .. when you get into the site, keep going to your right, and you'll see a blue 99-01 TL with blue tints.

If you're really set on having some blue, throw the blue tint on the fogs. And then upgrade your HID to high K bulbs to get a blue color.

LacViet, your headlights look nice. I'm thinking of baking mine and do the same. It is the baking process to get them opened right?

I'm too chicken to do it myself so I pay the local shop to do it for me. Yeah, few other members did it them self by baking or using hot gun to melt the glue. I myself screw up one of the spare headlight during the baking/paint/re-glue process that's why I pay someone else to do it.

Haha, I've done it before on my Honda Civic which is why I asked. We'll see how bored I get from the stock look and go from there. Take it easy bro.

I tinted my tails, (sorry no recent pics since my camera was stolen) thinking the same thing you were that it would be something to do before I can afford the 02-03 tails. I just got the tint off eBay for $25, so it really wasn't that big of a deal, but now its so dark and it looks good (blocking out most of the amber), that I'm thinking of keeping it for a while and spending my money on other things like boltons or an OEM kit since I have a damn good hookup for it. But I agree about the headlights, I wouldn't tint them, but clearing/blacking them out is good looking

Along with that custom grille idea with the home depot gutter guard...i opened the box...struggled with the damned thing for about an hour...threw it out...im saving for 02-03 tails...now only if it was possible to get my $25 back from that scam artist on ebay.
