Tint Warranty

I've looked around at some places because I want to get my windows tinted, and I've been asking about warranties and such. It seems like, for the expensive (relatively speaking) stuff with the lifetime warranties, it only covers the tint.

No place has said that they would cover damages to the car if there's a problem with the tint, whether it's caused by the tint or the workmanship. I.E. the rear window starts to bubble and in the process of taking the tint off to replace it (that part free of charge), my defroster is damaged. No one will replace the window or repair the defroster (if that's even possible). Is this pretty much standard procedure or should I keep looking?

It is a real pain to have problems with the tint and have to get it re-done. Your the customer, don't settle for anything unless your perfectly satisfied with the conditions. You get what you pay for when it comes to tint. Good luck.

If they are replacing it for free you could always give the guy $20 so he'd be more careful.

When I had my right front window replaced for bubbles (about 3-4 months after I had it tinted) free of charge. I was watching what the guy was doing so he knew to be careful. In the end I gave him $20 for the good job and he went away with a smile.

you dont need to get a warranty that covers your rear window if they damage it while doing the tint work to your car. the place is automatically responsible for any damage to your car while performing a service to your car. so, if they damage your car while installing tint, then they HAVE to fix it without any cost to you.
