I'm going next Monday to get my window's tinted. Will the tint shop remove the stickers in front windows? The Acura TLC Total Luxury Care and the Vehicle Immobilizer System stickers.

Can they just tint over them? I don't want them removed...

Yes, they usually remove them.. and I would suggest removing them as if you tint over them, they will look weird.

Edit* They'll remove the Acura TLC decal, but not the security decals provided by Acura.

 

I don't know about the stickers but if you have the factory navigation system, be cautious about installing any metallic based films. They can mess with your GPS signal reception.

 

I guess I'll just get the decals tinted over if I can... I don't really care if they look weird. But will the tint stick to the decals?

 

Doesn't every TL come with these decals? I know people have gotten they're windows tinted, what did you guys do about it?

 

yea every car has these stickers.... every car i had i had them removed it kinda looks funny with it tinted over

 

i took my stickers off.

the tint looks crappy where the stickers are, looks like a bubble.

 

They will take them off. They said the reason they don't leave them is because the stickers can cause the tint to bubble there and ruin the tint job. I wanted to keep the Acura TLC ones too but they wouldn't tint them. I got over it though, just let them take the stickers off.

 

They took off my stickers but the stuff stamped on the actual glass with the words Honda are still there (which they tinted over)...not even noticeable anyway.

 

the person did my tint removed it and put it back on after tinting...and i didn't even say anything...
