^^^ just be careful, dont want rain to happen the same day u have the sunroof tilted. It wouldve been cool if there was like a sensor where if a rain drop hit the sensor, the sunroof automatically closes.

I always wondered this too. I really do think it is a coolness factor. I remember when they came out with the sunroofs that slid outside of the body instead of into it. People thought it looked cooler.

Oh man...that rattle is starting to drive my crazy....my sunroof is tilted all the time if its not fully open. It use to just do it once in a while or when I had my music up loud occasionally....not every little bump I go over it rattles...
Where do you spray the silicone, I need to try and fix it....and yea...u talkin squeak or rattle?

Also, the damn grinding noise when it opens.

The sunroof on the TL is not quite as good as the sunroof on my old CRX was at keeping the rain out while you are driving. The CRX had much bigger lips under the sunroof panel to channel the water out.
The CRX had one of those sunroofs that slid outside the roof - it wasnt because it "looked cool" - it was because there was no headroom available to use up 3" of space under the headliner , and the roof itself just wasn't long enough - to accomodate the sunroof panel going inside the headliner. Having the sunroof panel slide back outside the roof was a good engineering compromise to put a sunroof on a car that normally probably could not have had a sliding sunroof.

I spray it on a paper towel and thoroughly wet the seals - let it soak - and wipe the excess off. The tilt allows you to get the back half of the seal.
