tighten that ride...

Ok as some of you might know, my whip's in the shop getting a nasty parking lot mess up fixed...

on to the question, once I get my baby back I'm thinking of upgrading her handling prowess... What type of mods am I looking at and how much for parts and labor?

Right now from what I understand, I'm looking at sway bars, springs... what about roll bars?
I'm lookin to make my baby take corners at 50-60 with no problem.... but not to the point that I can't drive on a city street without loosing a tooth... basically I feel the turns are a bit too loose and there is a bit too much body roll...

thanks in advance...

ps. I know how good I got it, with this saturn L200, talk about not being able to corner.... July 8th I get my baby back....

sways and anti roll bars are the same thing -
- comptech 300
- neuspeed 300
- install varies (100-255) or free if you DIY

springs
- comptech - 300
- H&R's - 170
- install about 200 (lower if u can find it)

Strut bar
- neuspeed - 120
- comptech - 300
- self install -- its really really easy

Tires
- your pick

Then you have lower tie bars... btw, does anyone know of any rear tie bars that go through the trunk? (i know stillen makes some for the maxima but not sure if there is anything close to that for the TL)

Nope. There is a lower tie bar, but not an upper for the rear.

You could also get stiffer shocks and POLYURETHANE mounts, bumps, bushings instead of rubber. You will know what I'm talking about when you buy comptech sway bars...the rears come with POLYURETHANE bushings (red) but the front uses the OEM rubber.....gooo idea to replaced them too.

they are not pointless, but upgrading tires to smaller profile will greatly increase the road feeling and handling....it all goes together, one does not need another to work....the more you add the greater the overall improvement

Go with the sways first, they are the cheapest mod that will make the biggest handling difference with practically no ride penalty; do a search, and see for yourself; havent heard a single regret ever.

Dont waste your money on an upper strut tie bar, you have one stock, and I would only do it last, once you have everything else done suspension wise.

Strut bars are also called upper tie bars. They just make your car tighter by conecting poor parts of the frame were rigity is not as great and they reduce the flex of the car. They call them strut bars because they conect to the strut towers. The strut towers are the top part of the front suspension were the strut (shock) and springs are. They are at the end of your engine bay. We already have a strut bar, but other companied claim to have stiffer ones or more rigit I should say.
