Unhappy Ticking noise

Anyone has a ticking noise problem coming from driver side C column inside the interior panel??? I brought to the dealer, they thought they fixed it with some foam tape on a molding. It was quiet for a while from the dealer to Safeway after getting the car back. Then the noise came back on the same day. It seems to be temperature related, it's driving me nuts Anyone encounter the same problem and with any luck to get it fixed? Any reply is appreciated.

Kevin,

I have an annoying ticking in the back as well, I traced it back to the real panel just to the left of the sub..

when I put light pressure on it, there isn't any sound.. I haven't figured out how to fix permanately yet.. the only thing I've been able to do is stuff something between the sub casing and the panel deck, it lessons the clicking but doesn't permanately get rid of it.. My click comes and goes as well as the temperature changes.. drives me nuts too.. but I just turn up the stereo up..

I think someone mentioned something about the trunk release cable undeneth the trunk lining has caused a clicking noise as well.. you might want to locate and secure any of those types of cables..

The dealer told me it's a molding making the noise, they used foam tape to fix it. Although the noise is back, but it's not as bad before. Most likely I will need to bring it back when it get worse again. How's your ride besides the noise, Eric?

I found the ticking is the glass in the very corner. Maybe it rubs that panel by the sub or its own seal around the windsheild is making noise. Try leaving the rear door open and sticking your head in the upper corner. Then push down on the corner of the glass from the outside. That is how I recreated my tick, don't know how to fix it though.

When I push on the C-column interior panel, I am able to generate the noise. The dealer reports it's coming from rear quarter panel molding. Now the noise is not as bad like before, so obviously they are closed to fixing it completely.

it would be c-column or the dashboard not aligned correctly...have the dealer check it.
