thunk when starting fast from a stop

Lately Ive noticed that my tranny makes sort of a harsh thump when I give it alot of gas from a dead stop. It also happens sometimes when it shifts hard (with alot of gas). It is nothing major, but it is annoying as hell and makes me feel like Im driving a POS. Is there some sort of tranny mount that could be faulty? It makes quick launches harsh, and I have to ease into the gas on take offs to avoid feeling it. My 02 type s has 121k on it. Other than this the tranny seems fine.

Ok, I thought it could possibly be a motor mount, but I don't notice any odd vibration or anything like that. I drive many different cars at work everyday, and I notice that this problem is somewhat common in higher mileage cars with automatic trannys. I drive my car kinda hard, so I figured this might have something to do with it too.

Usually when getting trans replaced is when motor mount discovered
Anything over 60 k miles I would suspect it- these cars are 200hp sewing machines when running right
