Yep, at this point, I think you need to contact a lawyer. If they are being dicks about it, and blaming a blown engine on the type of oil (AMSOIL, nonetheless... it isn't exactly cheap stuff
) then you need to step it up. They will have to prove in a court of law that it was indeed the engine oil that caused the engine failure. Good luck with that.

As for the original post, there's no way that changing the oil would cause engine failure. There's a slime chance that if you already had something going on, then putting clean oil in would have sped up the process. But that would have happened if the dealer changed it using their oil or another brand.
You may also consider reporting his claims to Amsoil since this could be a form of slander.
