throttle body

I have a 2003 TL-S. I want to clean my throttle body, but I can't get the hoses off the intake pipe. I see there are two hoses (made of hard material) going from the intake pipe down to the right side of the engine (to the right of where it says "VTEC", etc.). One of them continue (in soft material tube) down the back and underneath the throttle cable assemble. When I started to try and pull one of them off from the intake pipe, fluid started coming out (the smaller one that continues around back).

I think I have to take these hoses off in order to get the intake pipe off further up by the throttle body.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

there will be 2 tubes on the bottom of the throttle body and they have engine coolent in them, so some will come out when you take them off the throttle body. other than that, just take the hoses and connectors off like normal. I really dont see what problem you are having.

dont worry about the coolant coming out the hoses... just wipe it off when you'Re done... not much should come out anyway.
