throttle

i know im not paranoid, etc. i switch back and forth between an 87 accord with almost no hp, to a 92 accord then to my 99 tl. the hondas have an omph that the 225 hp doesnt have. the tl goes faster, but something doesnt feel right. my throttle has been lubed and everything. i dont know, guys, someone help me out with an explanation cuz im feelin kinda bad about my tl...

Are your accords manuals? Because if so it is probably due to the power drain of the torque converter in your TL. I feel the TL doesn't have much oomph until the "high lobe cam phasing" kicks in in the VTEC. Right around 4500 rpm it gets loud and fast.


My throttle feels pretty quick when I mash the gas but usually when I do that my tires spin and I get some torque steer.

to get rid of torque steer, you need new control arms.

** i was told by the dealer that you could swap in a 6-speed manual for the 5-speed auto.**

i'm gonna research further.
