Throtle Cable Adjustment.
Say a CL-S TL-S is 5%-10% under performing at the drag strip, or let us say shifting from 3rd-4th at 95 MPH instead of 103-107MPH (HEMLS manual spec).
Could it be the throtle cable needs to be adjusted? If I have a OBD-2 scanner (4.5Volts at Fully opened Throtle), it would be easy to check the throtle position voltage ( , but It could it be the prboblem?
Any though?

anything is possible but I dont know about probable.... if the car is shifting out early id check the :
1) Tranny fluid level
2) Tranny fluid color
3) VTM pressure readings
4) VTEC engagement
5) Engine oil level
These could all cause premature shifts ... aside from that the throttle cable would be more suspect of latent or slow starts ... not so much with early gear dumping to me..... Also try resetting your ECU.... pull the fuse or disconnect the battery for 20-30 mins (BUT REMEMBER TO HAVE RADIO&NAVI CODES READY BEFORE DOING SO) aside from that air temp/humidity/incline(non at track i hope)/gas grade/vehicle weight/clogged fuel-air-oil filters can all also possibly affect shifting.

The plate in the throttle body will only open so far... the actuator arm has a mechanical detent that prevents it from going any further. As long as yours hits the detent at WOT, then the throttle cable is fine. They're supposed to have some slack in them from the factory... tightening that up won't do anything... trust me I tried it about 3 days after I got my GS-R.
