I'm sure many of you may have heard about this, but...anyone even remotely interested in signing up for 2002?

Yeah, it is a bit expensive, but...look at it this way--where else can you see how well and to what limits all of your mods work? On a public, well-paved, somewhat challenging (elevation changes, various sweepers and tight turns, nice straightaways where you can really open your car up) highway. Heck, some people are willing to spend just as much--if not more--on driving schools (granted you may get some knowledge out of it; however, most likely you won't be alllowed to see how fast your car can go) but for the sheer thrill factor, something like this may be almost worth it if you were to do it just once.
And unlike just about every unauthorized street race out there (impromptu or otherwise)--it's legal, plus there are awards for top finishers.
Maybe I'll use some of my income tax refund that's coming to me next year to try it out...

If it's not that far away, I might seriously consider it. A round trip drive to Nevada might be too taxing and shipping the car and flying the driver and navigator there will really add up the cost. Sounds very interesting though. I 've heard about this a long time ago but never really given it much thought. I guess I'll just stick to the local driving schools to get my kicks for now.
