For those of you with HID fogs.

What method did you use to place the HID bulbs into the foglight housing? Did you place the bulb silicone it (or whichever method you used) and then attach the D2 connector from the ballast?

Or did you silicone the bulb with the connector on the ballast all-together?

Any other method?

I am working on the fog mod and will post the installation in detail. I'm getting help from rominl as he posted some of the installation at AW but it's not in detail. I'm also taking pics so I better make it into the FAQ section

Also my HID fogs are going to be different as they will be "Lexus" yellow!

I used the $$$'s method.

Simply put, I purchased a 6000K HID kit made specifically to replace type 9006 Halogens...which came with all wires, ballast's and connectors

All plug and play....no messing with Crazy Glue and Playdough

Where can you get that kit from, and does it come with detailed enough instructions?

I'm working on the project with rominl's help so that in the end there can be detailed w/ photos instruction on how to do the mod. I had my stock low beams left over, so I just purchased the ballasts with the D2 connectors.

Also, note that I'm not using 9006 type HID bulbs, I'm using the D2R from the headlights, hopefully I'll manage to put them in the housing.

I made them fit, with a little dremel here and there and some silicone it will work. I'm currently stuck on switching the Orange and Black wires on the drivers side (polarity). I don't want to cut them open and switch them then tape 'em back using electrical tape (one wire is thinner than the other).

Rominl said something about "tick"ing them, I guess I can take them out of the plastic power connector and switch them, but I don't exactly know how to take them out....anyone know?

I want to do it today so I can apply silicone and let it dry overnight, then install the housing tomorrow and take pic. Next week I'll post the comparison and installation

I'll write a book on how I did it.
