Post ? for those who have tint

I'm planning to tint the rear window next week, and was wondering if you guys tinted over the radio antenna on the glass, if you did does it affect the radio signal at all? I was planning to tint right below the in-glass antenna. thanks, UWgrad. oh I just bought this awesome mirror tint at the hardware store and got my side windows already tinte, I think its a little bit too reflective and hope the cops won't pull me over. But we'll see, I'll just tell them that it was a used car and I bought it that way...hehe. Thanks.

I haven't notice any loss of reception from my 35% tint. It's not a titanium tint or mirrored; just the standard.

I have 35% metallic tints on all the windows (except front) and haven't noticed any radio reception problems. I read some other posts on this topic, which mentioned that the metallic tint film would be more inside the car, while the antenna on the back window still faces outside the car. Not sure if this is the reason for the antenna working like normal, but my reception seems fine.

I noticed on a BMW 740il with navi that the front window had a slight tint from the factory... Kinda like a UV tint... Right in the center of the dash, the lower part of the windshield by the dash, there was a square cutout about 4" by 4" of no tint, just plain clear glass, right above the sensor to the Navi system... Just thought you would like to know..

I have 35% metallic tints and it does affect my Navi sometimes only though, i don't use the navi as much as I used to b/c I don't really go to far for fear of putting too much mileage on my TL. If I need to go anywhere far, I just take a rental from work and go. It hasn't affected my radio reception at all though, it has been crystal clear.
