Out of pure curiosity,
did you guys/gals consider the TypeS b'fore you bought the TL-P. I have much respect for the VERY luxurious, coosh ride of the -P, but i see some of you guy w/ headers, intake, and what not,..why not just get the TypeS to begin with?
Just curious, please don't take this thread as an attack or anything, no offense to anyone.

Headers? I don't need no steenken headers. I don't go to the track. ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Peter, I think most of the "TL-P" owners wanting headers etc. have the pre-'02 model. I, myself, own the 2002 TL-P, test drove the TL-S and TL-P, and went with the TL-P because its power is more than adequate for me. I only changed the suspension because I needed less scary handling than the TL-P offers at baseline. Not looking for headers, but will probably add a Comptech Icebox just for fun....if I don't get sucked into the 2004 TL first.

I bought a 99 TL with the OEM body kit in 2002, It is white with gray leather. Personaly I like the look of the 99-01 TL better. I like the smaller headlights and grille. The 2002 + grill goes too far into the bumper. I am not really doing engine work because it is not going to make that much of a difference. If I want a sports car I would buy and M3. As far as looks go I liked the look of my car. It is also extreamly comfortable seating and has everything I need as far as luxury, except memory seats, whats up with that. My 92 legend even had that. I upgrade the radio to the 6 disk and put chrome Type-S wheels on it and 02 tails, they make all the difference in the cars rear.I think it looks better then most type-s Tl's I have seen. I did upgrade brakes and will be doing the suspension soon. These are both mods for safty and performance that should alsop be done on the type-s due to the brake warping situation and the car just has too much body roll. And that is why I got a non-s Tl. I would rather have a 99-01 non-s then an 02 non type-s. Just spend the extra 2g's and get the performane I hate the 02+ nom type-s, the rims are whack!!!!!
