How the heck can you tell your rear rotors are warped? The majority of the braking is done by the front brakes.

i can't..
my tls feeled shakie around 12000..
i took it to dealer..
i saw on the recipe.. they resurface all 4 rotors..
and feeled shakie again at 18000.. that's why i change front brake to brembo system.. but still don't feel confortable about my rear rotor..
that's why i ask can we upgrade to RL, MDX, or even NSX's rear brake..

just wonderin bout the warped rotors, lets say it warps and for whatever reason u just leave it be, aside from the shakin when u brake does it actually cause any threat mechanically? does it do some harm or what? thanx

whole system Grand Turismo(caliber, pad, rotor, metal brake line)
part number : 1A16015A2
caliber is too wide.. you need a aftermarket wheel to put these on, or wheel spacer..

front and rear rotors are different..
two pieces rotor at front.. one piece rotor at rear..
front rotor is bigger..
rear brake also include hand brake.. a bit more complicate than front..

i kinda doubt the rears are warped. they dont do any of the hard braking unless you drive with your foot on the brake. and i still believe that to be slim tht they would warp. i have 118,000 miles on my factory rears and i have done quite abit of autocross and road racing (race tracks) and they are perfectly normal, ive had the fronts glowing cherry red but the rears are fine. if you are uncertin replace them with a stock upgrade

There is an article on turnfast.com about why you shouldn't just beef up the front brakes. That actually makes your whole brake system worse than having stock brakes. here have a look.
http://www.turnfast.com/tech_brakes/...alancing.lasso

if u are looking to upgrade ur brakes, I suggest you upgrade ur rear brakes as well. just by 2 cents.

can't open the url..
but i did read a report b4 that front and rear has a certain ratio..
if change a better performance brake at either front or rear..
car lost this front rear ratio.. and will be more easily to loose control when making turn something like that..
don't know if this is what you try to tell me..
but i don't feel the car is now more likely to loose control when turn.. maybe our car is not nsx or heavy mod rsx.. won't feel much..
but i do know there is this kind of problem if your change a better brake for front or rear only..
that's another reason i am asking if we can change our rear brake to RL's or MDX's

well the URL works when i checked it..
i dunno what wrong with it...
on the article, it says that when u upgrade just the front brakes,
not only does it make it more unstable when braking to full
potential, it also makes the brakes less efficient... which means it
won't stop the car as well as the stock brakes. if u can't open
the link try going to www.turnfast.com and go under "brakes"
oh and i didn't try upgrading the rear brakes.
i changed both the front and the rear pads endless.
good luck finding a rear rotor that we can use and
keep us posted

changing pads and rotors isnt going to make the brake system change and make the car unsafe!!!!!
chinging the size of the calpier's is where the potential of saftey issues comes in. if its not a poperly matched system the fronts are going to be doing all or less of the work, that is where the unstable car yould come into play.
