Post For those I offended, PLEASE READ...

First off, NATE, I'd like to personally apologize to you. That was totally out-of-line. What you do with your money is totally up to you. None of my business. We fellow NJ TL owners need to stick together.

Second, I'd like to explain my post.

About 7 years ago, I was severely in debt. I considered bankruptcy and even considering taking that big dirt nap, yeah I thought it would just be easier to end it all.

Well I spent the next 5 years getting out of debt and swore I'd never be in that position again. Well at least no fault of my own.

When I read the post I wrote, I realized I was totally out of line. I apologize for that. I was hoping I could have got my message across with a little less pain. My delivery can sometimes be poor.

I guess I realized that some of you might be going down the same road I traveled and I was trying to help. Not that this helped much.

I am certainly no better than any of you and that was not my intent. I am extremely proud of what I've been able to accomplish and that was what I was trying to say.

Bottom line here, I have no right to judge anyone. I hope you all can forgive the way in which I made my point. Delivery is 90% of the message.

I guess I f&cked up 90%.

Sorry board.

BTW, I locked my original post. I've been bashed enough. I've learned my lesson. Sorry again.

For what its worth, I can see where you were coming from, but I think you may have hit a nerve on this one, especially since it was about our cars. I had a similar experience to you, NSXNext and can see why you wanted to save others in this "family" the grief that we go through when we end up in so much debt. I hope eveyone else understands that NSXNext means well and cares alot, but stuck his foot in his mouth big time. Now lets go back to car talk ok?

Personally, I thought there was a lot of sense in the general point you were making...IMO we should just lighten up a bit...

No Ramsen, my bad, I was way out-of-line. Sometimes you need to keep harsh words to yourself. I am healed.

Hey Plat, I used to work for WMA Securities, Inc, they are currently the 4th Largest company in terms of Registered Reps, they are in all 50 states, and 7 other countries, including, Japan, Guam, Puerto Rico, Taiwan, Philippines, Canda, Mexico. I hold currently the S6, S63, and Life Producer Licenses in NY&NJ.

What's a call bear spread? ...just curious.
I have no idea what a call bear spread it.

My income is about 40% from Fin plan and mostly all from the restaurant business. So a few months ago I quited to financial industry just before it crumbled, to go full time in the restaurant business. I hope I answered all your questions.

Have you ever heard of VUL? If not, we gotta talk, eveyone.

It didn't offend me personally... but yeah, NSX4DR, you might have been a little too vocal on this sensitive issue. But it's all gooood.

No hard feelings, we still love you.

Here are the numbers I promised:

$1852.70/month to pay off $20,000 in 12 months at 20% ($2232.40 paid in intrest)
$626.73/month to pay off $20,000 in 36 months at 8% ($2562.28 paid in intrest)
$1739.77/month to pay off $20,000 in 12 months at 8% ($877.24 paid in intrest)
$1693.88/month to pay off $20,000 in 12 months at 3% ($326.56 paid in intrest)

So, as you can see, I am paying about the same in intrest as I would had I got a "normal" rate, such as 8%, and taken a few years to pay it off.

In the end I'll end up having a very good credit history. In the meantime, it is pretty scary... I need to straighten up, I've been slacking on my payments the last couple months - $1500 and $1600 instead of $1800... if I keep that up I'll drag the loan for 18 or 24 months, then I'll really be getting f@wked by the intrest.

I understand your angle NSXNEXT... it wasn't an easy decision to sign my loan. Believe me, there'll be a party when its paid off!

Talk about buyer's remorse - I got a promotion and bought the TL, then got laid off a couple of weeks later in a major downsizing!

At least now that I'm 'pursuing other opportunities' as they say, I can hold out for a better job now! Thank God for the money in the bank, I almost put it towards the car note, but thought, "let's see how this promotion panns out first." WHEW!!!

I've found the best way to get a good raise is to switch jobs. I got a 33% raise last time I switched jobs!

PlatniumTL, did I say I was a CFP? no. I said I did financial planning.

Hey TLracer how do you know about WMA? were you in it b4? Did one of my downlines try to recurit you or something? haha.

No, I think buy term and invest the difference is crap. U get no tax incentives.

Nuff said, don't wanna go into detail on this board on that. But we can discuss this till the cows come home.

Nice... but try doing consulting... 100 - 200% increase... I personally got double of what I was making in a full time position...
