For those that have painted your engine cover...how's the paint holding up?

For those that have painted your engine cover...how's the paint holding up?

Seems that it would get beat up under there. Anybody have problems with paint chips, dings,.....???

I just did mine but my brother has had it done on hi CL for a couple of yrs now and he hasn't had a single problem with it, not even a chip.

Mine is holding up great. Still looks like the first day i painted it. You should use Rustoleum High Temp paint. Its not a glossy paint but it looks good. You can always put a clearcoat paint over it to give it that gloss.

mine is holding up great. i want to repaint it red though. should i remove the existing paint or just go over it? i already primed it before i painted it blue. i have 3 coats of blue so will 2 coats of red be ok? im also about to paint my calipers red this weekend

I did mine a few months ago and it looks the same as the day i did it even my intake looks clean

Mine is still look good! Just get high temperature engine paint in your local autostore aka autozone.

no problems here...... just have to clean it though then it will look just like the first day i painted it.....
