Question Those with aftermarket rims....

Have any of you been thru a brushless car wash with ur aftermarket rims on? I was wondering if the 'wheel guide' in the car wash will scratch up the rims. I would wash the car myself but my outside water pipes are frozen and i wanna wash my car before i go on vacation. When I say 'wheel guide' i mean those metal guides on the ground that lock ur wheels so they aligned straight. THanx for you help.

It all depends on the car wash...some have plastic roller guides (good) and others have metal ones (not good).

Doesn't matter if the pipes are frozen, get a bucket or two of warm water. Use one bucket with sponge to wash the dirt/salt off and use the other bucket and sponge to rinse off the water.

I have never and will never bring my car through a car wash brushless or not regardless of what rims I have on the car. I personally don't trust them and not all "brushless" car washes are really brushless. Find a good hand wash place instead.
