Thinking about Comptech sways..
I'm thinking about my very first performance mod ever (for my 2000 Satin Silver TL) and it's all because of all the stories I've read on this site!!!!
So, I've heard a lot of people say this is the best first mod to get. Does it affect the ride when driving normally? Should only affect the cornering right? When driving straight, it should feel just like stock?

I believe the first/best mod is to lower your TL with Comptech springs. Lowering will make your TL look more sportier, handles better and prevent squat during hard accelerations and dive during hard brakings.
As for the sways, the only time you'll notice the ride being harsher is if one wheel, either left or right, hits a pot hole or going over a bump. Other than that, your ride should be like stock.

go for it I love my springs and sways and the ride is pretty much like stock until I decide to take some curves then you can really feel the difference in the handling they make a world of a difference and it looks great too

Will I feel more bumps if I'm driving on uneven road if I get the springs first? Does it make sense to get one without the other?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

You will feel more of a difference from the springs because it will lower the center of gravity of your TL. You should just get the springs first to see how you like it. If you decide you want more cornering power, then get the sways later.

Hey AcuraTL,
You're on here late too, huh? =) But I'm not sure if I want to make the ride any "rougher". I'd just like less roll when turning corners and less nose-diving when stopping...

Lower it first, then go for rims and rubber or just new rubber. I believe those 2 mods will give much more performance than springs + sways or rubber + sways.

If possible, the first thing I recommend is the springs/sways combo. The parts will run around $600 and the labor will depend on where you go.
Oh yeah, the labor should be cheaper if you do both at the same time.
The combo makes the car handle SOOOO much better. I highly recommend it.
I did all the Comptech parts at the same time so I can't break it down into which made the bigger defference.
