Hello everyone, im thinking of getting a 99 3.2tl. Im selling my 2000 Solara v6 because i got a good price for it. But that thing wasnt the fastest. I got beat by a stock auto jetta vr6. Do you think the 99 3.2tl is a great car? How does it compare in terms of quality and fastness to the Solara. Im hoping ill beat the vr6 btw. Thanks

 

if your only selling your car to get a car that can beat a Jetta...

 

a stock 99 with a good driver can beat a VR6. BTW 99 TL's rock!

Look, the 99TL is an awsome car to drive and enjoy. The peformance out of it is decent. But if you really wana get a car that has great performance potential, get an rsx, or a jetta 1.8T or even a gti 1.8T. With the VW shit you can chip your car and add all kinds of shit so that you'll be boostin like 25lbs. Then you'll be mad quick. In compairison to all these sport compact tuner cars, the TL is just plain old SHITTY, unless maybe you have a supercharger in it or a custom turbo setup. Even then the TL is just a fucken heavy car and was never designed to compete with sport compact tuner cars so think about what exactly it is that you want. If you just want a better engine then your solara then deff GET A 99TL. If you want luxry but be able to make it sporty then get the 99TL. But if you dont want luxury that much but you want a fast fucken car, then go for the jetta 1.8T's or GTI's. Those things are sickly fast with mods on em or even an RSX that has work done is sick. I love my 99TL. I'ma ride it till the wheels fall off. I'll probably never sell mine, even once i get a brand new car.

 

Yea, im not just getting a car to beat the VR6. I want a new car something thats more fun than the solara. I was considering either a 99tl or even a 5th Gen prelude.

 

stay away from VWs...full of problems.

 

yea german cars will just bring u many problems...my friends mercedes has been nothing but problems...coworkers passat, same deal...there just not that reliable...go w/ the TL or RSX...prelude is fast but its really small...i hate sittin in the backseat of my friends, its dreadful!

 

Not all German cars are full of problems,one day i'm hoping to own (imo) the ultimate sports/exotic ever made.....Porsche 911 Twin Turbo.

 

haha yea that is a nice one..but for the most part...the ones reasonably priced
