If mine ever warp I'll just change them to Comptech or AEM if they ever start selling them. No sence changing out your warped rotors with factory ones if they are not up to your driving syle.

mine are not warped.... i think my brakes are still pretty good.. I dont usually brake hard..
cuz i was reading some CL posts and it seems like a lot of them are experiencing this kind of problem. And I guess TL's share the same rotors with the CL's....

One cure might be using a torque wrench on the lug nuts - 75 lbs. ft. has worked for me for two years now. Let brake rotors cool before washing the car, and after a long hard stop shift to N and lift your foot off the brake so that the heat trapped under the pads can escape. This helps keep the rotors a uniform temp. Hope this helps.

Mine were replaced (pads & rotors) at 27K. I told them about the shimey in the front end when depressing brake pedal. I said I believed there was a bulletin about. Didn't even hesitate, and did it under warranty.....

My fronts were warped at 20K. The dealer resurfaced the rotors and installed new pads. I was told that there was a memo indicating that the factory pads were responsible for the warping (heat buildup) and a different pad was being used hence. I've put on another 20K since with no problem yet.

It happens from time to time and should only cost you $10-$20 to get it rebalanced at a local tire shop.
Rotor warping is when you notice a vibration in your steering wheel when you brake. If you're braking at high speed, sometimes it feels like the whole car shudders.
For Blazin TL who asked if it affects the 2001 TL, the answer is yes. Check out my sig and my previous post.

They havecut mine twice and replaced them once so far and I'm at 47,000 miles all under warranty. They do have a recent service bulletin where they are suppose to replace the pads and cut rotor or replace if necessary. The pads that use create less heat but have an incredible amount of fade. Kinda makes the car a little scary to drive, but as long as my rotors don't warp again I prefer the fading.
