I have not. With some of the driveways I have to get into it just wouldn't be practical to lower my car or install a kit on it. My car rubs when going up my parent's driveway now.

I'm not interested in dropping the car... I like it just as it is. Personally, I don't think I'd want a dropped TL - they look nice, but I don't think I'd want to live with one. Also, the $$$ involved to do it right (springs, shocks, adjustments, etc) doesn't seem worth it to me. Oh, and then there's that whole snow thing that comes around every year. It's not uncommon for my front bumper to "plow" a bit at times (more like, knock the tops off tall furrows and such; let’s hear it for V-DOT! ) - dropping the car would only make that more common and increase my chances of potentially harming the paint.

crappy streets and steep curbs. I would not be able to drop or put a kit on my car. The most I would do is 1.5" in the front and 1" in the rear, without a kbody kit of course.

man, I used to drive a 97 Prelude, all hooked up, slammed on coilovers and new shox and it was really awesome being so low, but the drawback is that aftermarket parts last about 4 years tops then you start having problems with wear and tear from all the extra strain on oem suspension parts. joints and bearings hate being lowered. then you have to replace it or sell the car, and you don't make any of the money back cuz its used.
The reason why I am not dropping my TL is because #1. I have an awesome certified warrenty. #2. I don't think lowering the TL looks good unless you do it right with atleast a 2.5in drop, then u need camber kit and your tires wear 10x faster than normal. #3. the TL is not a sport compact, and doesnt deserve to be on the level of a Civic trying to drop their car to make it cooler. I get enough respect stock!

I could go on... but I'll leave it at that

I drive into Manhattan every single day and I spend 98% of my days in New York City, where the roads are atrocious. I go over enough bumps and potholes on a regular basis without having any major trouble with tires or rims, it would be worse with a drop. I drive very aggressively too so it's no good if I'm flying over potholes at 45 mph on the street with a drop.

My car is also leased, which would cause terrible problems with the dealer when I give it back. Plus, I'm riding on the stock 17's so even though the front wheel well has a huge gap it is nothing that is terrible.

Dropping with Sport springs and not the race springs or coil overs is better. You still have some cleareance. Great handling too.

younginTL..... when you lower your car there is more pressure applied to suspension parts adding negative camber to your tire stance. Due to the un-even tire stance, the inside of your tires will wear faster, not only because of the neg. camber but because of the added force and strain on your suspension parts which leads strait down to your wheels and tires.

I had a camber kit on my 97 Prelude, along with Ground Control Coilovers and Tokiko blues, done right, and believe me man, low profile summer tires on a low whip will last about 25k miles.

cost. better ways to invest hundred of $$$. I think a slight drop really looks tight but I have limited funds. I would do headers first. If you have available cash, go for it. Listen to Big-kout and have a professional get your alignment squared away

well, for one i like how it looks this way....AND the way i drive, i've slammed the front bumper so many times, and got it repainted, i don't want to be 4 times worse when it's dropped.....

same reason why i don't want the OEM kit, i like how it looks this way.

BUT, i still love the way the cars look when their dropped......it looks awesome when it's sitting there, but driving it around here is a pain in the ass.
