Temporary Loss of Electrical Power

I have been experiencing a temporary loss of power recently. I will be driving down the road and my radio will cut out for a couple seconds. Additionally sometimes when I am driving and turn on my lights it will cut out my radio for a few seconds as well as my maintenance required light will come on for a few seconds. Is this a voltage regulator problem? Has anyone else experienced this problem? I do not beleive that it is an alternator problem since my battery is fine.

Help

Yea it's a low-voltage problem. I got that on my RSX when I had my sound system playing and headlights on.(although I didn't even blast it) I tried to avoid it but then it got to the point where the headlights wouldn't even have to be on for the symptoms to show up. A couple of weeks later my battery died.

Unless you have an aftermarket system running alot of power your car should be able to handle the lights and the stock radio. Could be your alt have you tried taking voltage readings with a multimeter to see what kind of voltage your getting? But also since the problems seems to be around the radio could be some kind of short with a wire going to the radio. When the radio cuts out do all your dash lights cut out too?

mine did that when the battery was near death, and the aftermarket alarm would continually take itself out of valet mode. it's free to get those things checked at autozone.
