Post temperature adjustment

My outside temperature is reading about 1-2 degree more so I tried to adjust it down...but instead it went up. I've look in the manual and can't seem to find where it tells you how to adjust it. My question is how do you adjust the temperature reading to go down (negative)? Also, is there a way to just reset it?

Turn ignition ON (no need to start the engine but it works while running too.) Press and hold RESET and SELECT buttons for 10 seconds.

Temp display will cycle -3 ..-2 ..-1 .. 0 ..1 ..2 ..3 and back around again. (perhaps not in that order but you get the idea.) Release when you get the deviation you want.

In the summer expect about 3° too high of a reading because your car is just above the hot pavement. Adjusting the temperature should be done at night or when very cloudy.
