My experience at the track has been that TCS helps. Turning it off resulted in 2.8 second 60' times... too much wheelspin.

You have to be careful not to give too much gas with TCS off but if you find the sweet spot I think it would give you a better time. I haven't found that sweet spot but I'm working on it I guess this is the difference between decent and Skilled drivers.

I think TCS helps especially on wet roads.

To gun it at the spot light though, I usually have the TCS off. Gas it enough so it grips the road and just when the car starts rolling, floor it.

But whachu doing racing your luxury car!?

I've found that I had better times with TCS off. But I guess it depends on how sticky your tires are and how how much power you have. It seems that when TCS is triggered, it will bog your engine down until you regain traction. Therefore your tires don't spin as much, but you lose time trying to regain the momentum you lost. With TCS off, you will spin a little more, but once you've regain traction you'll off. But like PhiTL said, depending on the track and your modification, there's a sweetspot where you're on the verge of slipping but don't. Launching at this spot will give you the best times.

The honda TCS systems are way too slow to help you in performance, if you know how to launch your car. I can outlaunch the TCS even in the wet. Its not that hard, the TCS takes forever to engage (well it feels like it )

DEFINETELY OFF!!! Our cars are very heavy. Even if you tried to accelerate excessively your tires will NOT burn out or lose much traction at all.

I disagree with half of the statement. If you are on a track, even with the traction compound that they put on the track, spinning the tires is relatively easy. This is comming from experience. My first time at the track, on the third run I turned off traction control and gassed it 3/4 of the way and all I did was spin my tires. Just my suggestion try different techniques and see what is best for you.
