Tail Lights
Anyone can help on removing the tail lights on a 2000 TL Im having trouble with the carpet I cant pull it back far enough to reach all the nuts. How do I get the center panel out? Thanks for your help

First you have to pull up the carpet (it's really the trunk floor) using the string with the hook; it's hinged toward the back seat which makes it easier to remove. Then you remove the grey plastic trunk latch cover. You'll see four "screws" on top (they're basically just plastic pins), just unscrew them a bit and then just pull them out; then pull out the anchors that the screws were in. The plastic cover then just lifts off. You'll then be able to pull back the carpet side trim (after unscrewing the tie down knobs) enough to reach the six tail light housing nuts.
