Weird thing- I thought I had a tail ight out. Right side. When I went to change it, it came back on when I touched it. Then off, then on again..... and stayed on.

Then I realized there are two lights on the right side, and the other one was still out. So I went to change that one and it came on when I touched it.

Now everything is fine.

I am thinking I must have a loose wire.

 

Same thing happened again, both lights went out, and snapping them out then back in put them both back on again.

Its consistent, so I am wondering if the car is trying to tell me something (like my old car used to make the blinker go fast if one of the bulbs was burnt out...maybe the TL does that, too...)

It jsut seems odd that I would get two loose connections in the same tail light in the same month.

Anybody else have this problem?

 

i had the same thing happen to me. I went to the dealer because I was having an oil change and I asked them to look at the bulbs and they replaced all of the bulbs in both taillights. They told me that the old bulbs were recalled or something like that.

 

Maybe the pins for the bulbs are smaller and are not making good contact with the socket. Since they work again once you "jiggle" it, then you should take the bulbs out and clean the contacts - take a pencil eraser and go over it a couple of times.
